I couldn't get the FH to budge using a large wrench and having my wifle hole the rifle down on my work bench on it's side.

I recently tried taking the SWAT flash hider off of my 556 since I bought a 551 style FH from CO Gun Sales. I figure they they must have used LocTite Red––since that melts around 600 degrees, I figure I'll heat the flash suppressor with the torch until I can melt 50/50 solder on it (that tales about 600 degrees or so) and the bugger STILL won't come off!Ĭan anyone offer a suggestion, other than installing a Gas Buster on my Dissipator? I get tired of the nose full of exhaust on my ARs and thought the SIG would fix it.I've called SIG and waited on hold for 30 minutes with 7 callers ahead of me––and have emailed them 3 times in the past few months without a reply. I figure they must have LocTite on it, and heated the flash suppressor for a few minutes with a propane torch––still no go. Then I tried a long screw driver thru the flash suppressor for more leverage––no go. I tried to remove the SIG's flash suppressor with a wrench––no go.
